The art is great (aside from an ill-advised throwback to Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel work), and the story avoids many of the trappings which usually befall mini-series - it wasn't superficial, pointless or ham-fisted. Also, if you're interested in boosting your emotional intelligence (EI) - a topic I absolutely love - this book helps build your self awareness, which is a cornerstone for EI development. I've been plowing through Cameron's historical novels one by one. All things considered, however, WILD IDEA was a worthwhile book. By the end of the book I found myself sorry to say good bye to my 'new friends' This is the first book I've read of Mildred Colvin's and I look forward to reading more. Each novella, Cora, Eliza, and Deborah, is filled with charm, romance, and downright delightful storytelling. I like this book very very much. Cynical adults like myself will often see where the next turn might lead, but that doesn't take away from the truly amazing adventure at hand. One suggestion to the authors for future editions: include the nutritional information for those of us watching our weight, sodium intake, and more.
